Service Description

The "RSO in Mexico" course will cover all the content from the 3-day RSO course but will be delivered live, face-to-face, 4 hours per day, over 5 days in an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. This will ensure the learner has enough time to devote to the material and enjoy the destination too. The course will run in Cabo San Lucas at The Riu Sante Fe. The Practical RSO Training Course is an in-depth, 5-day course designed for individuals with responsibilities as a RSO working in a medical (Nuclear Medicine/PET), University or laboratory environment. This unique course provides participants with practical applications to meet CNSC and Provincial regulatory requirements while dealing with radioactive materials and/or medical patients. The course has been approved by the Canadian Radiation Protection Association and follows the core competencies (excluding Class 7 TDG requirements) for the Registered Radiation Safety Professional national certification examination to achieve the CRPA(R) designation. The RSO Training Course goes beyond textbooks. Taught by an experienced RSO, the course is designed to meet the current administrative and technical challenges faced when implementing a radiation safety program that meet CNSC requirements. Course tools allow participants to develop and maintain excellence in radiation safety programs at their own facilities. Class discussions and exercises supplement training material. Significant class time is devoted to practical scenarios. A certificate will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course. Travel Details A group booking has been organized providing a discount for course participants and their guests. The discounted course fee of $999 includes the course only and participants are responsible for booking travel through their own travel agent.
