Laser Safety Officer (LSO) Training

Service Description

This unique course provides a Canadian context to meet provincial and federal requirements while examining the various ANSI standards and the updated ANSI Z136.1 (2014) Safe Use of Lasers. The course will provide a solid background for an administrative laser safety program and will provide an overview of the different mathematical calculations that may be required in laser safety. Course tools allow participants to develop and maintain excellence in laser safety program at their own facilities. Who should participate? This course is ideal for any health and safety professional requiring knowledge on laser safety for Class 3B or Class 4 lasers in manufacturing, commercial, hospitals, medical clinics, university environments or anyone requiring additional knowledge of the responsibilities of a LSO. A certificate will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course. Course is eligible for CRBOH ROH or ROHT Registration maintenance points and ABIH Certification (CIH) maintenance points.
